End Trafficking Before it Begins

We believe in a world where everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and free.  You’re already taking the first step by learning about these tactics.  By understanding how traffickers operate, we can protect ourselves, support one another, and create a world where everyone has the right to live in freedom.  A meaningful connection is a positive experience to help us feel seen, loved, respected, and heard.  They require setting healthy boundaries, your goal is to avoid an imbalance of power and avoid isolation.

Steps for Controlling your future, your way!

Find who is safe, easy to talk to, someone who listens, doesn’t judge.

Signs of an unhealthy relationship

  1. They try to isolate you from friends and family.  Say things like “you don’t need anyone else but me."  They get upset when you spend time with others.  They make you feel like you owe them.
  2. Asks you to keep secrets.
  3. Some people are so good at manipulating teens that sometimes the teens don’t even realize they’ve been tricked. Then they might be afraid to say anything about it because:
    • They’ve been threatened.
    • They feel guilty and think people will blame them.
    • They think that no one will believe them.

Know what "Boyfriending" is.
